Interactive Ecology Event Held in Ashgabat

Interactive Meeting on Environmental Culture Held with Active Student Participation

Ashgabat – A lively and meaningful meeting on environmental culture was held in the conference hall of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The event brought together students of the World Economy specialty from the Faculty of Economics of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management. The main goal of the meeting was to raise awareness among youth about environmental culture and to encourage them to become more actively involved in this area.

The meeting was organized by representatives of the public organization “Ecological Movement of Turkmenistan.” In their speeches, they highlighted the pressing environmental issues of our time, emphasized the importance of protecting the environment, and underlined the responsibility each citizen bears toward nature.

As part of the program, an engaging knowledge-based game in the style of "Jeopardy" was held with the active participation of the students. The students were divided into five teams to compete in a quiz format. The game featured thought-provoking questions across five categories: “Herbal Plants of Turkmenistan,” “Nature Reserves in Turkmenistan,” “Ecology and Ecosystems of Turkmenistan,” “Wonders of Global Ecology,” and “Additional Questions.” The game not only enriched the students’ knowledge in the field of ecology but also enhanced their skills in teamwork, quick thinking, and creative problem-solving.

Such events play an important role in developing young people’s ecological awareness and encouraging their participation in public initiatives. Regularly organizing these kinds of interactive meetings makes a significant contribution to shaping a responsible attitude toward nature among future professionals.
