Drop of Water – A Grain of Gold

Turkmenistan is committed to resolving global water issues by implementing the strategy of its leader. Water diplomacy has been designated as a foreign policy priority by the President, which not only means long-term cooperation in this important system but also the development of advanced practices. This can serve all mankind.

Turkmenistan has extensive experience in water management and uses modern approaches to develop it, taking into account the global situation. The country also takes part in international environmental initiatives, such as the creation of a regional center for technologies related to climate change in Ashgabat under the United Nations.

The country's actions in water use have a direct impact on agricultural production and food security. Regular environmental activities in the country are a reliable basis for transitioning to a new condition of the development of the national economy. Modern technologies are being introduced into the water system in the water industry sectors, and appropriate measures are being taken to increase the efficiency of control over the regular use of water resources from an environmental point of view.
