An international fashion show was held as part of the “TurkmenTextile Expo — 2025” trade fair in Ashgabat, bringing together both local and foreign designers who presented collections that combined national traditions with modern fashion trends, according to Turkmenistan’s state media on Wednesday.
The “Miras” fashion house, operating under the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, introduced a dress collection that drew inspiration from Turkmen cultural heritage and global fashion influences.
International participants included Marianna Miceli, director of Mad Mood Milano Fashion Week; Omar Mansoor, a London-based designer noted for his eco-friendly haute couture eveningwear; Turkmen designer Gowkher Pirkuliyeva Gouvernet, acclaimed for merging Turkmen and French fashion elements; Singapore’s Hayden Ng; and Aidarkhan Kaliyev, the chief designer of Kazakhstan’s “Asyl-design” fashion house.
The showcased collections highlighted a rich variety of styles and embodied a cultural exchange between Eastern and Western traditions — the show’s main theme.
