The 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Ashgabat. Reported by TDH.

The agenda included current issues related to the activities of the Council of Elders and the UTG, further joint work, coordination of the actions of the Organization’s member countries, as well as the implementation of recommendations adopted at the meeting held last year in Samarkand. The Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan noted that this year is held under the motto “The Fount of Reason of Magtymguly Fragi,” and the International Organization of Turkic Culture declared 2024 “The Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World - Magtymguly Fragi.” The National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed gratitude for the invitation to take part in the next meeting and congratulated the fraternal peoples of the Turkic states on the advent of the holy month of Oraza.
