LET'S SAVE THE EARTH TOGETHER: A CLIMATE ECOFESTIVAL WAS HELD IN ASHGABAT

The II Climate Eco-Festival, organized by the diplomatic missions of Turkey and Great Britain in Turkmenistan, was held at the site of the Joint Turkmen-Turkish School in Ashgabat. The event, whose motto is “Let's save the Earth together!”, was aimed at attracting the attention of young people to caring for natural resources, rational use of natural resources and environmental protection. In specially equipped interactive areas, guests of the eco-festival could get acquainted with how renewable energy sources work, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

The youngest participants of the festival got acquainted with new products in the world of IT technologies. Robotic battles broke out in one of the sectors of the core. Teenagers were asked to control different models of robots presented on a mini-football court, a ring and mock-up roads to teach children traffic rules.

At the same time, festival participants were told about proper waste sorting. A competent sorting process increases the chance of recycling plastic, paper, glass and metals, which makes it possible to eliminate the cost of their extraction.

At their stands, Turkmen craftsmen and craftsmen displayed souvenir products made with their own hands from recycled materials. Reusable eco-bags are very popular. The festival also included flash mobs, quizzes, presentations of films on environmental topics and other eco-actions that are of particular importance in shaping the environmental consciousness of the population.
